As my first budget airline flight I was a little nervous of what I should expect. It was very cheap and went to the "out of the way" airport I wanted to go to. If you had wanted Geneva though it would have been a long ride by road.

I have to say it was a very smooth operation. When the aircaft arrived, the baggage handlers were waiting to take off the luggage and the new luggage was waiting to be loaded. As soon as the passengers were off, the new passengers were loaded on.

The only differences were that we had no seat allocations and the first people on were those that paid extra for priority boarding.

The aircaft was not cleaned between flights so pencil shavings were on the seat but not really a problem considering the price.

Drinks were not free but reasonably priced. There were no back of seat pockets.

As far as photography goes, I simply cannot make do with a 20cm size restriction so can only fly Ryanair on non-photographic trips.
