Continuous ink supply system for Epson R800/R1800 Printer.

Due to the high cost of original cartridges and the time taken to refill when making large numbers of prints, the continuous ink supply systems have been designed. This device which has transparent foamless cartridges and a special design of ink reservoir that genearets a constant ink pressure regardless of ink level.

This version is a new type that has lower profile cartridges. This allows plenty of room for the tubes to pass between the moving head and the printer cover - a problem with previous designs.

The tubes are long enough for the R1800 printer and will allow more flexibility in tank position when used with the smaller R800.

It consists of a set of replacement cartridges with automatic reset chips (no chip resetter required) connected by tubes to an ink reservoir. This reservoir contains chambers for each colour of ink.

Once the system is installed, all that is necesasary is to keep the external reservoir topped up below the minimum level. The chips reset to full automatically when empty.

We supply this device empty and it is clean throughout the whole system so you can add the ink of your choice. Some companies are supplying primed systems mainly due to the difficulty of priming the older systems. There are no such troubles with this device so we leave you with total flexibility on the ink to be used

Of course we recommend the 800ml R800 ink packs that we sell. These are designed specially for the Epson R800 and R1800 systems- One 800ml pack is enough to fill the system and provides the equivelent of about 10 sets of standard cartridges.

It goes without saying that if you need to return your printer to Epson for servicing, you should replace the original cartridges first !

Some companies are providing dye based ink with R800 systems. This is not recommended as the whole point of the R800 is that it gives stunning prints even though it uses more permanent pigment inks. If you must use dye inks, flush out the system very carefully as it could wreck the printer if they are mixed.
